I’m always on the fence when it comes to kidrobot products. Sometimes, they get it right on the mark (i.e. PO! GID dunny) and other times, they completely miss it with me (Peecol series). Coming home to uber-cute monsters waiting in my rss feeds is just the stuff that I love to see from KidRobot. You can bet your arse that when the BambooZoo blindboxes get released next week (May 8th), I’m going to be hitting up their new two-level shop. If you stop by ToysREvil’s blog, you can catch an interview with the team responsible for the mini-series.

Currently, I’m really looking forward to owning the fella on the right. His name is Tummy Toaster Terro, and I need him to be part of my Toast motif. If you’ve been to the site, or met me in person, I’m sure I’ve shared the toast story. If you’re curious, you can always ask me/message me and I’ll be glad to share. The two pieces just look too kawaii to not have in my collection. Each blindbox will run you $7.95, according to kidrobot there are 14 different characters and 2 chases?

Last night was Mad’s Phase 3 realease. What’s that mean? I am referring to the second coming of his Mad*l’s. I have to say that since I got into the scene I was longing for this day. I wasn’t around during the first wave of Mad*L’s and now that he’s producing them himself, I am overjoyed with the upcoming releases. In order to kick off the Mad*L wave, Mad has a custom 10″ Mad*Ls show at MPH last night. Check out more photos after the jump. (more…)

I have a huge list of updates that I haven’t been able to cut down for what seems like weeks. I have a midterm, tests and papers/stories due, so please pardon the lack of posts these days. I’m not sure if you’ve heard about Toy Baronesses GID Dunny? It is going to be released April 18th, during her birthday party at the Knitting Factory. I’d been holding off on this post because I didn’t know the location of the party, but alas, the news has arrived. Is anyone planning on going? Click on the flyer for more info.

Hola peeps. Just a quick reminder that tomorrow is Mist’s signing at Kidrobot’s Pirate store. I’m headed there because though I’ve met Mist a number of times, I keep missing him for a sketch. How do I feel about the figure? I really have to see it in person to decide is I really want it or not. I like the head, I’m not sure how I feel about the body. We’ll see tomorrow. If you’re there, say hello. Stop being such a weirdo!
