Mad*L: Andrew Bell Edition

Saturday, July 26th, 2008

I’ll say it once and it’ll be enough: I will recognize an Andrew Bell anywhere. I’m trying my best to keep my head on my shoulders when it comes to all the news/exclusives from SDCC. Above, spotted on Vinyl Pulse, is a Mad*l- part of Mad’s Phase 3- created by Andrew Bell.

I’d look at the fella’s face and immidiately recognized Andrew Bell’s signature look. Apparently, Andrew has created the guy above for Frozen Empire. He should be dropping some time in December, how fitting. I hope he’ll cost approximately as much as Mad’s previous releases ($40-$50). I also want to know how many of him will be released, since clearly I want to get my hands on one. And, does his head glow-in-the-dark? Now, that would be even more awesome!

Kaw’s JPP

Thursday, July 24th, 2008

I don’t know exactly what it is [refer to photo above], but Kaws has just announced that they’ll be available online tomorrow at noon. Whatever he is, I want him. I don’t care which colorway either. I got no information of how much it’s going to cost, though I imagine it’ll cost a pretty  penny– and I also don’t know anything about size or quantity. Does anyone out there know, please do share.

Btw, he’s also having these up for sale at: OriginalFake on Saturday. (more…)

Going Mad for MAD*L’s!!

Wednesday, July 9th, 2008

Mad just dropped a bomb on his flickr, and a great one at that! Not only is he releasing his blue GID 10″ MadL (I know I’ve said this a lot, but MadL’s really are at the very top of my favorites list), but he’s also teamed up with ToyQube to release an exclusive design. (more…)

Raving Rabbids!

[Splinter Cell, Assassin's Creed, Prince of Persia & Rayman Raving Rabbids]

I are green with ENVY right now. Yeah, I wrote “are” and felt like a pirate when I wrote it too! Anyway, I’ve known about Ubisoft releasing the Rabbids in vinyl form. Unfortunately, I didn’t know about them in time to buy them when they were available on their site, but my Mr. managed to get one on ebay, which I always want to steal! Anyway, GayGamer posted his latest Raving Rabbids swag and I could feel my heart being crushed into pieces because it’s yet another set I won’t get to own. They’re awesome, and of what I know, not for sale.

I want, I want, I want!!!

NYCC: The Aftermath

Monday, April 21st, 2008

So, yesterday was the last day of NYCC- what’s that mean now? It’s time to wrap things up. Please be prepared for some short wrap ups, k! The first post of post-nycc info is Buff Monster’s newest additions.

Mindstyle is going to be dropping them in June I believe. They’re the new “Gum Drop” flavors. They are see-through florescent/vibrant solid colors. I love them, I think it works for this shape and size. Hopefully the retail price will remain the same.

Comic Book Kubrick Cars

Sunday, April 6th, 2008

While on the search for tokidoki bags, one in particular, I stopped by Yoyamart and ended up seeing these Kubrick Mobiles. They have 5 different designs, but I especially love the Batman and Superman designs. Unfortunately, each design costs $24.95, if you want one for yourself click the link at the bottom.

Tiger Dunny

Joe Ledbetter\'s 8\

Question. People know that I try my best to go to ALL the signings and shows in the city, correct? So I wonder, did anyone know about the Tiger Dunny signing that took place yesterday at the ‘Pirate Store?’ Umm, I ask because I didn’t. Not only did I not know, for whatever reason, but no one told me. No one dropped me a line and said, “hey saki, are you going to the signing?” I’m slightly hurt, though I wouldn’t have bought the dunny, this is one less chance of getting Joe Ledbetter’s sketch in my book.  How sad am I.
