Tokidoki Kaniza

Monday, April 28th, 2008

Thanks to JWong! (that’s how I’ve got him listed on aim) and Jack’s (VP) constant updates, Tokidoki’s Kaniza prototype has been released. What do you think? So far, I’m loving the shark on it’s belly- hit the jump to see what’s under the star. These will apparently be released during SDCC and will be limited to 1000 pieces. (more…)

NYCC: Bulleto from Tokidoki

Tuesday, April 22nd, 2008

I knew he was coming, I didn’t realize he would be so awesome! I’ve just realized though, that he’s exactly like Mozarella, just different colors, weapon and accompanying bullets. So his name, Bulleto… who is he? Mozarella’s partner in crime. I don’t care how cute he is, Mozarella is still the leader of Moofia to me. No news on the release date yet.

About the new additions.

Sunday, April 13th, 2008

When MPH first released the image of their tokidoki exclusives, [see here], I was uber excited. Like this::smile:

Then I found out that in order to get the newest additions, I was going to have to submit myself, and wallet, to blind boxes again. What’s that mean? These three additions will be included in the regular blind boxes that were originally released. That means I might have to get 7 latte’s again before I get a rice milk. Clearly, my smile turned into this:

So what were they brewing?

Monday, April 7th, 2008

I’d known when MPH posted the above image that their surprise was going to be Tokidoki’s Sandy in a platinum colorway. I was excited for the release, because Sandy is actually one of my favorite characters, which by the way, I’ve recently noticed I don’t own. She’s green and spiky, uh– that just automatically means she rules. How do you think I reacted when I saw the latest photo release?

She looks so wonderful in silver! Even more exciting is the addition of more moofia blind boxes. I knew they were going to be releasing a pink milk figure, she was printed on the inside of Mozzarella’s packaging, so it was about time, but I totally did not expect the rice milk and half-&-half. AWESOME!!

So now, I ask the inevitable questions: Who’s going to NYCC? And when are we meeting up?!! I’ll be roaming around all weekend, because I can.

Kidnap the Sandy Clause…

Monday, March 24th, 2008

I’ve noted before that Nightmare Before Christmas happens to be one of my all time favorite movies ever, right? Well, when I spotted this cake, I needed to know more about it, so I contacted the person who made it [chomocakes]. Most importantly, I need to know if I could eat it. Some would question me on the decision to want to eat such a masterpiece, but really, why let it go to waste? She responded to me, and I knew it was time to share [also, hit the jump to see her tokidoki inspired cake]. See her message below.

I made this for my nephew’s birthday last Halloween. The three characters are made of rice krispies treats, covered in fondant, and painted with an edible luster dust. each one took anywhere from 4 to 6 hours to create. my husband and i stayed up all night working on them.

The bathtub is chocolate cake, again covered in rolled fondant, and painted by my husband (flickr.com/people/b1) with lusterdust to give it that rust appearance.

Everything you see is 100% edible. we pride ourselves on craftsmanship, attention to detail, and above all, cakes that taste as good as they look.

thanks,
sylvia
