I’m not sure how many times I’ve shared about the goodness that is Threadless, but they’re at it again with an “all tees for $10 sale!” The Mr. and I took the liberty of choosing and sharing our top 3 choices. Hey, if you forgot to get someone a present during the holidays, and are looking for something cool yet “cheap,” this is a perfect opportunity to get just that. Check them out after the jump! Oh, by the way, you can click any of the images to be redirected to threadless.
I just spotted a post at LevelSelect which reminded me to post about the upcoming video game shirts by UNIQLO. The Pimp had informed me a while back that UNIQLO was going to be releasing an entire line of video game inspired t-shirts. Well, the first batch of t-shirts are going to be released next week, March 16th. Above, you’ll find an image of the Resident Evil shirt that’s going to released through this line, just in time for RE5’s release. I’m not very impressed with it, but I had to post it because my Mr. is a huge RE fan. Although, he himself doesn’t think the design is very creative. I am, however, digging the Pacman shirt to the right– you can’t really go wrong with something as simple as Pacman or the ghosts right?
If you want to know more about what video game shirts are going to be released along with the release dates, you can check out Kotaku’s site for details. They posted more info today. I will state that I want to see the Little Big Planet shirts, I want now!! If you read after the jump, you’ll see the cool ties someone at Level Select found. =)
Last night, I received and update from DoublePunch. It contained a quick blog post about their new GID Space Invaders Pillow Cases!! I’ve seen loads of merchandise celebrating their 30th anniversary, and have even posted some of the things they collaborated with to release, but this is by far the coolest in my book. I mean, not only do they make great home decor, but they GID!! The Mr. has a huge obsession with GID, so these would be ideal for us. I wants now, please!
I do, however, need some help. I think they have the actual pillow cases in the physical shop itself. Their online shop does not contain any merchandise related to Space Invaders. If you go there, or work there, please list them so I can have them. Thank you!
Hey, did you know Space Invaders is officially 30 years old? For once, I did know this bit of information– the release of towels, duffel bags, Gloomy Bears with 30 Years stamped on their foot informed me of such celebration. I’m a fan of Space Invaders, even more when they attacked my screen as an April Fool’s joke [unfortunately, the site is down so I can't refer you to it anymore]. Well, GeekAlerts has just posted this set of 3 Space Invader keychains. They’re trapped in a cube and I want them. The best thing, this set of florescent critters will only set you back $8.50. Click here to buy the set.
So I have seen quite a few of these Space Invaders around the NYC. I never knew who did them until now. It seems an anonymous graffiti artist named “Space Invader” is responsible. He’s been putting these pieces of video game themed art around the world since 1990. I am shocked that I didn’t know about him until now. At least there is a documentary called “BOMB IT!” coming out soon, so I can get the full story on him and other global graffiti art/artists. You can pick up the DVD now or check out the premiere in Los Angeles tomorrow, June 6th. You can check out a trailer for the dvd after the jump.
