Ninjatown in your City

Wednesday, September 17th, 2008

Ninja’s rule!! And Shawnimals (Shawn and Jen) makes them rule even more with their uber-cuteness and huggable little selves. Well, I’ve known about the Ninjatown DS game for a while, but it seems it is finally arriving. It won’t be release for another 2 months, but some of us may get to play it sooner than we think.

Shawnimals is ready to go on tour to promote his Ninjatown DS game at a designer toy shop near you. Woot-woot. I will clearly be attending the MPH event on October 3rd, which one are you attending? We’ll compare notes. In case you didn’t know, Shawn has a lot to live up to, seeing as how he used to write for a video game magazine– can’t wait for the ninjas!

Oh, and apparently, they’re going to have Ol’ Master Ninja plushies available. Yay!

Brilliant Orange Wee Sticker

Tuesday, July 8th, 2008

I hate to break it to people, but during NYCC my Mr. and I were able to nab us a “radioactive” wee sticker. I don’t think we’ve taken a photo of it yet… but he’s made himself quite at home with us. I wasn’t aware that they technically weren’t on sale yet, and it seems MyPlasticHeart has just put them up on their site. Well, while everyone is so busy trying to attain their radioactive goodness, I’m looking forward to Shawn’s upcoming Brilliant Orange wee sticker. Hit the jump to check out some images straight from Shawnimal’s blog. (more…)

We’re one day shy of a week away from the Plushform Show at the Rotofugi Gallery next week, and some friends are beginning to post their sneak peeks. Above is Dacosta’s currently untitled sneak peek. Clearly, he’s a sumo wrestler. Right?!! I’m excited to see photos of his lower half. Hit the jump to see kaNO’s (who I could’ve sworn I’d posted earlier) and Steve Talkowski’s sketchbot! (more…)

Shawnimal’s DIY Plushform Show

Sunday, June 8th, 2008

During NYCC, Shawn introduced the DIY Plushform ninja to the world. Basically, I’ll refer to it as the first DIY plush– to my knowledge no other’s exists in this category. If I’m wrong, feel free to drop me a line. Anyway, during NYCC, Shawn had various Chicago artists take on the tast of customizing his DIY wee ninja and the results were phenomenal– so much so, that I ended up purchasing one (image below).
