I love floating from one link to another, and the end result being- I find ANOTHER kick arse artist. In this case, Shawnimals’ flickr hosted photo’s of the DIY plush and Jeremiah Ketner happened to be in the batch of Chicago artists that took the DIY task at hand and made it look like a breeze. I’m sure I’m all late in my discovery of Jeremiah Ketner, and therefore, I send my deepest apologies to him for not knowing any better; but, if you don’t know who he is– you definitely should take a look at his flickr to see some of his works.
His style has very simple details, vintage-like, that I adore. It’s not extravagant, and yet, the pieces are very heartwarming. At first glance though, and this may be why I am totally in love with his style– I thought it looked very similar to Julie West’s designs. Check out some of his customs after the jump. And in case you were interested, currently, he’s available for commission. I believe he’s submitted an additional entry to the plushform show at rotofugi, but I’m not quite sure. Let me know if you attend. (more…)
