littleoddforest and the woodland inspiration
You know what I love about Flickr? I attend shows in NYC, take pictures to share on my stream and blog; and with the right tags, the artists find the pictures and suddenly you're introduced to their...
Alrighty then. This is going to be a bit weird, but I don’t think I’m into the song above. I have a very limited interest in hip-hop and I feel like this is a little bit outside my parameters. So why post the video you ask? Well, I wanted to point out two things. The first is that I was actually at the filming of the video– no, no! I’m not one of the ladies in the background. =) I’d actually made my way to DBA to take photos of the spot that Toy2R chose as a pop-up shop and they so happened to be filming the music video. Which leads me to my second point for posting; though I’ve learned that many toy collectors are a little annoyed with Kozik’s latest “recycled” releases, forward to 00:01:52 and 00:02:50 when Charles Hamilton is in the shop. Yes, it’s designer toys galore in the background. Is this good or bad? I don’t know– you tell me.
I haven’t hosted a giveaway in a really LONG time. But, during this weekend’s trip to Toy2R’s pop-up shop at DBA in Brooklyn, I decided to pick up a set of Kozik’s Merry Mini Bomb and give it away to some lucky commenter. If you’re a Kozik collector, you can add this to your personal collection, if not, you can look at this as an early present for someone– either way, someone’s going to score these before they’re available to the masses in December.
If you want to enter for a chance to win, US and Overseas, leave a comment below telling me why. That’s it, ONE simple comment. Don’t double-dip please, or I’ll be forced to disqualify you. Since this is partyly in celebration of Toy2R’s US invasion, this contest will be over Sunday November 16th at 11:59pm EST time– that’s when Toy2R moves to their next city of choice.
P.S. Check out my write-up about Toy2R’s pop up at ToyCyte.
Is Kozik’s fuzzy wuzzy! I want it, I want it. Kozik’s infamous labbits, produced by KidRobot, will be dropping in a much softer form, PLUSH! I don’t think I own any labbits, except for a mini– but I’m determined to get these wicked plushies. They should be arriving in November and each will cost $15.99
Want a Mickey Mao bust from Kozik? Well, you can officially own one of 100 metal casts produced by fullyvisual tomorrow! Similar to previous releases, there will be 99 silver casts, and 1 gold piece. I say, if you’ve got $130 laying around, head over to theartliberation and pick one up tomorrow at 11am PST [2pm EST].
