Jon Burgerman’s Hero Gobbler

Monday, September 29th, 2008

Jon Burgerman has just posted the fella above. I’m a little confused about the description he gave on his Flickr, take a look:

Tiny Hero (made giant) + The Gobbler (made tiny) + massive Dunny from Kid Robot x Stu Witter mad custom skillz + Burgerdoodles = Supercrazy Hero-Gobbler-Dunny Custom edition of one.

Though I am confused about the description, (from what I gather tiny character made big through kidrobot’s 20″ dunny?) I think he looks super cute. He actually looks like a super hero, and I would love it if KidRobot considered making him 8″ for the masses. According to Jon, the dunny will be traveling to KidRobot locations to be on display. I LIKE!

The Artist’s T-Shirt Post

Thursday, July 31st, 2008

I bring news of 5 different artists and their upcoming t-shirts. First I’ll focus on Bubi Au Yeung’s shirts, and then you can hit the jump to find out (and see) the shirts that Doktor A, Tara McPherson, Jon Burgerman and Dalek are releasing.

I love Bubi! If you don’t know who she is, the above photo should give you an inclination. She’s the talented artist that brought us Treeson (and all it’s colorways/sizes). She recently shared the newest additions to her Zazzle shop where she sells her own apparel.

Be Different is the newest addition to her site. She has it available in several cuts for both men and women, and also has some key chains, hats and a mug!! I think I might be picking up the mug for myself, because I have a mug collection that needs some growing. I also happen to love her previous design:

I am actually quite in love with the expression on her character’s face. hee-hee. I say, I want to ask Bubi to turn me into a Treeson. The very first image is a picture of Bubi (treeson-ized). I like that she’s able to do a simple design with such limited colors. Great job Bubi! To check out her shop, click this link. Now, keeping reading to see stuff from some of our other favorite artists. (more…)

Anyway, Jon has currently updated his flickr to release info on a rubber case he’s created for Apple’s iPod Touch. Oh the iTouch, what a sleek and sexy piece of equipment.

He’s also created two designs for the iPhone. Though I don’t currently own an iPhone (someday), I would love to display my love for his characters through my phone. Hit the jump for the other designs and purchasing info. (more…)

Jon Burgerman and his Magnificent 7 Pack

Thursday, July 17th, 2008

It’s been a long time since I’ve posted about sneakers. Well, not really, I did write about the Tokidoki for Onitsuka sneakers– which, I’ll eventually get. I have however, been holding out on posting this image, because I’ve been trying to get my hands on a pair. Jon Burgerman teamed up with Nike to release a Magnificent 7 sneaker pack.

What’s that mean? That he designed 7 pairs of sneakers for Nike. And the one pictured above is the pair I want to wear on my feet to bed at night, now please. I’ve been in search of them since Jon posted them on his flickr. You might think, why haven’t I seen these? Well, it has a lot to do with the fact they weren’t released in the US, only in the UK. Those darn lucky bastards!

So anyone of you visiting me from the UK? Please, let me know where I can order myself a pair, or if you’d be so kind to mail them for me. I found them online at the European Footlocker, but I can’t order them. Help please. Hit the jump to see his other designs. (more…)

Jon Burgerman and his Laptop Sleeve

Thursday, July 17th, 2008

I love expressing my love for vinyl artists through different mediums. What does this mean? I own tokidoki bags and pencils. I own Amanda Vissell, Tara McPherson, Tim Biskup (and many more) stationery sets. I have stickers, and shoes, Uglydoll shirts, etc. I like to show my love and appreciation for the art they bring to my world. Jon Burgerman is really hitting the sweet spot with me lately, peep my next post to know what started it all. Now, he’s released information on a collaboration with Côte et Ciel.

Above is his very limited laptop sleeve. Only available on his site, you must leave a comment on his site specifying what size you’re interested in (32.5 x 24cm, 34 x 24.5cm and 36 x 26 cm) and he’ll contact you if anymore are available. I have no info on the price, but I’m sure that’ll be included in his response to you. Check out the site and good luck trying to get one. [Jon Burgerman's Laptop Sleeves]

3 Bears + Signings

Friday, May 9th, 2008

In addition to releasing Ron English’ signing information, KidRobot has also added details for the upcoming 3 Bears release. The three bears, created by three different UK artists (ilovedust, Tado and Jon Burgerman), is a release I’ve been looking forward to since they announced them. I want to know whether they’re going to be blindboxed (even though they’re 8″) or whether we’ll know which ones we’re purchasing. I like Tado’s and Ilovedust’s the most… it’s something about the dead fishy and the “skull” mallet. Do you like ‘em? If so, which are you looking forward to getting? Let’s not forget, each will set you back $50. Hit the jump for more details. (more…)
