Yesterday was the official release date for Rockstar’s latest installment of the Grand Theft Auto franchise. GTA: Chinatown Wars is the first game of the franchise to cross over onto the DS. I being a big DS fan, was estatic to hear about this upcoming release, and I made sure I stopped by the GTA booth during NYCC to make sure I would really dig the game.
Upon entering the massive floor plan that is the Javitz Center, one of the displays that welcomed me into this year’s comic con was GTA: Chinatown Wars’ location at the entrance. I haven’t had much pleasure playing this series in general– I can’t focus on it for some reason, unlike my younger brother who has become a R* fanboy. GTA:CW, however, is definitely peaking my interest because of the platform it’s going to be released on, the Nintendo DS!! I love my DS lite, and I haven’t picked it up in a while because there aren’t any games I’m interested in right now.
