Joe Ledbetter stopped by GAMA-GO’s flagship San Francisco store yesterday, and not to rub things in, but between Joe up from SoCal and fans in from NY, everyone was talking about our spectacular Bay Area weather. Having just returned from Brooklyn, I can’t help but concur. Joe was in town to sign his brand-new art book, Creatures of Habit, published by SF’s own Last Gasp. Creatures contains the usual suspects in awesome full color: signature JLED characters like Mr. Bunny and Firecat, going about their business either A) about to unexpectedly get snuffed out or beset by a bit of ultraviolence or B) up to some mischief-making of their own design.

Damn the internets and work for not allowing me to open my email sooner in the day. GamaGo went ahead and realease batch #2 of the YetiBama shirts. What’s different from last time? Not only do they cost you a mere $10, but they come packages with free button and stickers! I went on to purchase my very own shirt, only to discover women’s shirts were all sold out. Damn it!! Please, if a GamaGo personnel reads this, I am an XL (I have no shame) in your women’s tops and want this shirt. In the meantime, men’s shirts are still available so go snag yours now. It seems the next batch will not be this cheap. Lucky you!

Word on the street (the GamaGo blog) is that GamaGo is going to have a GIANT Kill! Deathbot available for sale during SDCC. I own the original 5″ [?] Deathbot and I think he’s okay. My need to own him really had to do with him being a robot and made out of wood, and though the larger one is pretty much the exact same thing– I am quite shocked at how much more I LOVE it. I think it has something to do with how large it is. And, it’s also made out of wood which makes it more substantial and impressive. I have no details on cost, but they will be limited to 100 pieces and that they’ll be shipped for free in the US.
