The lovely duo known as Peskimo has now joined forces with the talents from Momiji to dish out some awesome collaborations for the world. Some of the works include totes, notebooks and pencils– just the kind of stuff I LOVE to get for myself and friends in need of a little happy delivery. I want, I want it all and though everything is in foreign currency, they are all quite affordable. The prices range from about $4-$30. I say, for uber kawaii stuff, the price is not bad at all. Follow the link to buy these for youself and to check out the rest of their inventory. [Peskimo x Momiji]

Ladies and Gentlemen, I bring happy biddings. Does that saying make sense? I think I meant to ask, did I use it correctly? Either way, I bring news of a chance to own your very own Lou Pimentel art for a VERY affordable price. How affordable you ask? How about $25 affordable? Hit the jump to view more images and read a message from Lou. Read the rest of this entry »

We’ve spotted Julie West all over the place; shirts, bags, illustrations, paintings, customs, and now it seems we can add drinking glasses to the list of things that Julie has done. Shared on Friday through her flickr, Julie has designed some juice loving cups for Art Star Gallery and Boutique. If you want to pick one up it’ll cost you $18, but you can save $4 if you order a set. Check out Art Star Gallery to purchase.

On Monday, on my way to meet up with the Mr. for some yummy Japanese food (food critique coming soon), I walked by Giant Robot NY, which is seriously down the block from me– and realized that something was different. GRNY used to take up two shops– the actual store and the gallery. I noticed that now the gallery was both shop and gallery and next door I’d spotted something familiar– Upper Playground. I LOVE-LOVE-LOVE, when two things I am really passionate about, meet in perfect harmony. In this case, Doktor A, who has been dishing out batches of commissioned drawings has taken on the world of Doctor Horrible. We know from previous posts that I absolutely loved the summer internet blockbuster known as Doctor Horrible’s Sing-A-Long, created by Joss Whedon (BtVS, Angel, Firefly). Well, if I had money to spare I would ask Doktor A to hook me up with the same drawing. Whoever commissioned it, so rocks!

Have you submitted your photo to October Toys’ contest? Don’t remember what it’s about? You seriously have to pay attention people. In order to get a chance to win the exclusive Dragon Con Aubrie, you need to post a photo of yourself with your Scavengers collection. I have a feeling I’m going to get disqualified, simply because I’m holding my KO dunny, which is technically NOT a Scavenger. If such is the case, then a couple of others will get eliminated too. Anyway, the above photo is my entry. Now head on over and submit your photo, NOW!

I don’t have too much info yet, but the event has an overwhelmingly amazing line up of artists. I can’t wait to see what they all have to offer. If the line up isn’t enough, this is actually an Animal Rescue benefit– who doesn’t like animals? I know we must all love at least 1 species, no? I heart PANDAS and PUPPIES, and MONKEY, and…. the list goes on forever. [Via: TOYTOKYO]
