“Smile, Happy, Live, Long” TADO Mug

tado-mug

I just spotted the “Smile, Happy, Live, Long” mug on  TADO’s flickr. It is awesome! I kinda want to use the word, “prosper” even though I’m not a trekkie. =) I don’t think I’ve mentioned this since I purchased the Gloomy Bear mug, but I kind of have a nice mug collection.

It seems that TADO’s mug will be shipped from the UK– I took the liberty of calculating the costs, okay, I lied– their Big Cartel did it for me. To purchase a single mug and get it shipped to the US, you’ll need to drop approx. $24.02. You can purchase it at the lovely TADO shop.

Camilla d’Errico’s KURO

 Kuro Release

Yesterday I got news that Camilla d’Errico’s character, KURO, is being released in plush form. =D Although I am a huge fan of her art style and and am constantly charmed by her female characters, I’ve never actually had the pleasure of reading BURN, the comic she illustrates. Thanks to this uber cute, yet, apparently really evil character, I may just have to pick up the comic book.

It seems that thanks to DKE, you can purchase both the character and comic in a set which will retail for $15USD, or if you’d rather pick up the plush alone, he’ll cost $10.99USD. I think $15 is a super cheap price, so I’ll most likely be picking up the set. He stands 6″ in height, and according to his description, he’s got a “too cute to believe” booty. I want now!!

p.s. Camilla just updated the look of her site, and I <3 it!!

Formula Werks x Rotofugi

more-toys

I’ve slowly stopped purchasing shirts that aren’t appropriate for both work and personal time– I just can’t bother to change twice in a day– my work doesn’t allow for that kind of energy. Therefore, when a shirt like above- simple and direct, appears on the scene, I jump on the chance to add it to my collection of shirts that will make me feel like I’m true to myself and personality– while allowing my students to get a kick out of it. I still don’t think my boss will like me wearing it, but too bad, sometimes, I really do have to act my age. I’ve officially decided that I want the purple shirt with fuscia font. If those aren’t colors that interest you, it’s quite alright, because the FormulaWerks website offers a slew of both t-shirt colors and font colors, so go ahead and customize your very own shirt. Each shirt will cost you $25, but can you ever really put a price on showing your love for toys?

Tokidoki Adios Star Pillow

adiospillo-2

Sometime during the week, I was on the search for shops that carried Anna Chambers’ Fresh Fruit Apples, and ended up noticing the Tenacious Toys has begun taking pre-orders on the upcoming Adios Star pillow from Tokidoki. Adios is my favorite character to date from the many kawaii characters Simone Legno has brought to life, so I am very interested on getting my hands on one of these. If you want to place your pre-order– the pillow will cost you $29.99, not including shipping, click here.

**Update** Tenacious Toys also has pre-orders on the plushy Ciao Ciao and Adios ($19.99 ea), along with the upcoming Frenzies Keychains ($4.95ea). Check ‘em out here: tokidoki sales page.

Behold ladies and gents, Anna Chambers‘ recent release of Fresh Fruit plushies. If you haven’t heard of Anna Chambers, now is the time to become acquainted with her works. The woman makes some high quality kawaii plushies (some of which are in the shape of poop) that I can’t get enough of. Her latest release, pictured above, are 4 apples with bipolar personalities.

You’ve got; Happy Red, Happy Green, Sad Red and Sad Green apples. Each apple comes individually packed in it’s own plastic container, as to keep the fruit fresh. Each yummy plushie will cost a moderate $15 and you can pick one up over at MyPLasticHeart or Giant Robot. If you’d like, you can check out a picture of me with my own plushie apple after the jump. =) (more…)

Tokidoki Invades NYC

Wednesday, March 4th, 2009

nystoreIf you’re a tokidoki fan, I’m sure you’ve spotted the flyer above somewhere announcing the invasion of tokidoki in NY. Well, I’d gotten this flyer about 2 weeks ago, or so, and was under the impression that the shop would be opening this upcoming weekend. I was wrong, as so was most of the world actually, not our fault, just a bit of miscommunication. Although, this weekend, Simone Legno will indeed be on location for the Grand Opening celebration and signing, the shop’s been open since last week. To those who are familiar with the area, the tokidoki shop has actually taken over the LeSportsac shop that used to be there.

I meant to make the trip to the tokidoki shop this weekend, but thanks to all the fun I was having during the snowstorm, I went today instead. The shop, is just like I remember it, super small! I can only imagine the chaos this weekend is going to bring to the staff. =) If you keep reading, you can see a picture of the new print that is being sold exclusively at the shop, along with upcoming Tokidoki x Hello Kitty Plushies. Kidrobot’s TADO bags

Saturday, November 29th, 2008

Tado is one of my favorite duo’s out there. Thanks to my friend, the ever vigilant Pimpscooby, I have been directed to Kidrobot’s newest bag additions. I am not into their bags, they are way to tacky ang gaudy for me. Correctly, I’m not into their latest bags, seeing as how I own the all-over-Dunny black leather bag. I am however, in love with the Tado additions and the bag above is the one I want, right now please. The bag above is currently selling for $126, but I think it has to do with the Thanksgiving weekend sales, normal price tag is $168. If you want to check out the other styles, or want to purchase the bag above, follow this link to Kidrobot’s TADO search.

UbiSoft Releases Rabbids to the Masses

Tuesday, November 25th, 2008

I was lucky enough to be hooked up with a set of these during the summer by the lovely and wonderful Colette. I love me some rabbids, for life! Anyway, it seems many people were interested in owning a set for themselves and I’m glad to announce that UBIsoft heard your cries and have made a set available for sale on their site.

They have officially placed the little guys on the right for sale. Unlike my set above, the set they are offering on their commerce site will include: Mellow Rabbid, Assassin’s Creed Rabbid, Splinter Cell Rabbid, Raving Rabbid and a DIY Rabbid. This means, you don’t get the Prince of Persia Rabbid that I’m lucky enough to have. But, I like the idea of a mellow and ravenous rabbid, in addition to the capabilities of creating whatever you want with that DIY edition.

If you want one of these sets for yourself, head on over to the UBIart website and buy them for $48. Seems like a lot, but they’re just so hard not to love.

kaNO!

kaNO!

This past Friday, one of my favorite artists, kaNO! dropped his latest vinyl figure: Bodega. I’d been posting about Bodega’s upcoming release for a while and on Friday with DJ and artist on hand for sketches, it finally hit the streets! (more…)

Mist’s Goldo

Monday, November 10th, 2008

I’ll be the first to admit that I wasn’t a really big fan of Mist’s Debilz. I liked some of them, but the blindboxed set as a whole just didn’t attract me. But, this latest figure that he’s released through his own personal commerce site is nothing short of excellent. I don’t have too much information on it, but I am in love with so many vibrant colors and the general aesthetics of the figure. The figure, named Goldo, is limited to 100 pieces and is apparently exclusive to Mist’s site. If you’d like to purchase the figure, head on over to his blog– you can pay with your paypal if it’s easier for you. =)
