Threadless Tee: Bob-omb Inspired

Just checked out this week’s newest Threadless releases and spotted “Boom Box.” To all those who have played Super Mario Bros. (and I have to ask, who hasn’t?), you’ll recognize Bob-omb from the game. I’m not sure how I feel about the Boombox– although it makes lots of sense when you realize that the shirt in it’s entirety is nostalgic of the past.

Click the image to purchase it, or follow this link. It’ll cost you $18 and is available for both, men and women.

Nike Sportswear Six Collaborations

Images from NOTCOT

I’m catching up on my RSS feeds, and I’ve just spotted on both NOTCOT and Freshness Magazine some images of the new Nike Sportswear Six Collaborations project. From what I’ve gathered, Nike has created a world cup line that represent the United States, United Kingdom, the Netherlands, South Africa, France and Brazil. The artists include some very well known designer toy artists; Kronk, Mister Cartoon and James Jarvis!

Image from Freshness Magazine

I’m not into Mister Cartoon’s stuff– but the last time I wrote about him on the site was when he collaborated with Vans to create the Simpsons’ sneakers. I was digging several designs but he’d created a pair of kick-arse slip-ons and I’m a total whore for slip-on vans. Anyway– although I don’t always dig his stuff– what I’ve seen so far from him in regards to this collaboration is really hitting the right spot. I bring up the subject of him being my Mexican brother from another mother because the shirt on the left has a similar looking eagle to my homeland’s flag (Mexico in case you couldn’t tell).

Hit the jump to see close-ups of James Jarvis’ pieces along with Kronk’s pieces. I agree with Jean from NOTCOT that James Jarvis’ pieces are a must have!!

Arcade Expressionism - Threadless, Best T-shirts Ever

Oh art, you come in many forms– and Brock Davis understands this fact. Above, you’ll find one of Threadless’ newest t-shirt releases, Arcade Expressionism. I will add that even the basic gamer should recognize what scene is being depicted on the shirt– then again, one would argue that art is open for interpretation. =D

p.s. I recommend watching The King of Kong– a documentary about setting the Donkey Kong world record.

Many Hands Make the Load Lighter - Threadless, Best T-shirts Ever

Threadless has just released the Many Hands Make the Load Lighter t-shirt. 100% of the profits from these tees will be donated to the Haiti Relief. I’m sad to report that I’ve heard people complain about the requests to help and I’m not going to give them a lecture because really, donations and help should come from the heart– but if you’re a threadless shopper, why not? You can click on the image to purchase. It goes for $10, for real.

I’m not sure how many times I’ve shared about the goodness that is Threadless, but they’re at it again with an “all tees for $10 sale!” The Mr. and I took the liberty of choosing and sharing our top 3 choices. Hey, if you forgot to get someone a present during the holidays, and are looking for something cool yet “cheap,” this is a perfect opportunity to get just that. Check them out after the jump! Oh, by the way, you can click any of the images to be redirected to threadless.

Zombies Galore This Week!

All the things I’m about to talk about have the same thing in common, ZOMBIES! I’ll start off with the video above. Can anyone recognize what it is? It’s Call of Duty: World at War for the iPHONE!! Or Touch, depending on which product you own. Earlier in the year, CoD:WaW released a full zombie map in the game titled: Nacht der Untoten (followed by a second one who’s name I forget). The iPhone/Touch version is based off this map.

When I’d beat L4D with my team (which will soon be reunited), I was concerned that my teammates and I wouldn’t find another game to connect with as much as we did with that game– I sound kinda of pathetic don’t I? But, when CoD’s zombie maps were released, I quickly learned the gameplay and looked forward to Friday night/Saturday morning gaming sessions. According to Co-Optimus, where I read the news from earlier today, it’s even got online support, but no chatting. I’ve already got it synced on my iPhone and will be checking it out throughout the week to see how it compares. =D Keep reading for more zombie goodness!

The Public Zoo Clothing Celebration

A while back, someone named The Public Zoo began following both IHCS’ twitter, along with my account. Needless to say, when I got a free minute to myself, I looked through their account, clicked on their site link, and discovered their clothing. I’ve been looking through their collection so far, and I’ve decided that I definitely want a few items, which you can check out below.

The Public Zoo will be holding a release party this Thursday evening at Yellow Rat Bastard, located in lower Manhattan. This means their collection is easily accessible for me!!! I like to feel the materials of the clothing I purchase, something tells me that they’re using a really soft cotton though.

So far, their character Hickup keeps stealing my attention. It seems Hickup is a panda, and the main character for the brand– he’s even on their logo. The panda is my favorite character, but I think it’s a known fact that I have a very soft spot for Pandas of all types. Hickup in particular reminds me of Murakami’s Kanye West Bear. I think it’s the eyes. The art style is the other reason why I love the brand’s designs so far. Their Japanese influences, along with cute animals is always a win-win situation.

I Be Au Sm - Threadless, Best T-shirts EverSince grade school, I’ve known I was a bit of a nerd. These days, some would call me a grammar Nazi, or some other name of the same nature. I love it! Nerd has always been a name I embraced, and now that I’m grown-up, I border on GEEK. Well, as soon as I spotted the tee above on Threadless, I knew I wanted it for myself– and that many of my friends might want it too. =D

If you want to puchase this tee, you can click on the link to your left and purchase it. It’s available for both men and women– and they have various sizes. It’ll set you back $18, but I see it as a great investment– since you get to openly share your geekdom.

Vote for it!

Currently on Threadless there is an awesome shirt design in search of scoring high. And, I’m going to support it! Velma is my favorite character from the original Scooby Doo (and Scooby Doo when they’re little)– something about her awkward dorkiness is just awesome. =D

Anyway, Velma along with a zombie apocalypse is the perfect combination. Go here to vote for it.

Threadless 09-09-09 Sale!!

Due to it’s repetetiveness, 09-09-09 the date is causing a roucous. Threadless has just hopped on the loco bandwagon and is having a major $9 sale to celebrate all the 9’s going around. So, I thought I’d put together a list of shirts that are a collision of both worlds: the Threadless community and designer toys (and designers too)!!

Eat Shirt and Die - Threadless, Best T-shirts Ever

Andrew Bell get’s the ball rolling with his “Eat Shirt and Die”

Escape to Space - Threadless, Best T-shirts Ever

Andy Jenkins created the “Lettus Bee” skateboarder falling flat on his face figure, produced by Ningyoushi and Upper Playground. Awesome figure, I truly wish I was around for it. There’s nothing like someone smashing their face, no? =)

Good Morning Friend - Threadless, Best T-shirts Ever

Bwana Spoons. I’m not into his stuff too much, although Steven the Bat really does make me warm and fuzzy, so does the Whale. Damn it, maybe I do like his stuff. =D

Dead Pirate - Threadless, Best T-shirts Ever

McBess. I remember getting an email from ALBOTAS about this designer whose design did not get accepted by KidRobot. Kind of sucks for him because I really dig it. Only if it stayed in Black and White though, I feel color would change the look completely. His artwork is pretty cool though.

Eat Yourself - Threadless, Best T-shirts Ever

Skwak is the last artist. I don’t remember where I’ve seen the works of this French Artist, but I have… his tee is too loud for me, but it seems like he makes his own toys.

All of these shirts are up on Threadless right now, and they’re only $9! Tees for less than $10 is not something you find often. If you don’t like any of these, it’s fine, because they have a HUGE selection and various sizes too. The largest for women’s is a 2XL, and Men’s it’s a 3XL, so even heavy set people can enjoy. I myself wear a comfortable XL and I’ve always loved their quality tees– so much so, that I wear them too much and people think I don’t do laundry.
