Kidrobot’s TADO bags

Saturday, November 29th, 2008

Tado is one of my favorite duo’s out there. Thanks to my friend, the ever vigilant Pimpscooby, I have been directed to Kidrobot’s newest bag additions. I am not into their bags, they are way to tacky ang gaudy for me. Correctly, I’m not into their latest bags, seeing as how I own the all-over-Dunny black leather bag. I am however, in love with the Tado additions and the bag above is the one I want, right now please. The bag above is currently selling for $126, but I think it has to do with the Thanksgiving weekend sales, normal price tag is $168. If you want to check out the other styles, or want to purchase the bag above, follow this link to Kidrobot’s TADO search.

Andrew Bell for Threadless

Tuesday, October 21st, 2008

I’ve very often reffered to threadless on this site. Well, now I get to share the collaboration between Threadless and Andrew Bell. Oh snaps!! The shirt is a slightly more gory version of the creatures from his head. I’m not sure how I feel about the orange colored shirt, and at the same time– I notice my closet is void of color so I may just have to get it for myself. If you’re interested in getting it, it’ll cost you $25 at Threadless.com

In the meantime, I feel the need to say that I hope more vinyl artist release “select” shirts on threadless. Earlier this year I found out that tokidoki had released a shirt with threadless, so I really hope this is a trend that picks up. More than anything, I’m crossing my fingers for the female artists? Come on Kathie, Julie, Tara… we wants shirts!

GamaGo for Obama

Wednesday, October 8th, 2008

Damn the internets and work for not allowing me to open my email sooner in the day. GamaGo went ahead and realease batch #2 of the YetiBama shirts. What’s different from last time? Not only do they cost you a mere $10, but they come packages with free button and stickers! I went on to purchase my very own shirt, only to discover women’s shirts were all sold out. Damn it!! Please, if a GamaGo personnel reads this, I am an XL (I have no shame) in your women’s tops and want this shirt. In the meantime, men’s shirts are still available so go snag yours now. It seems the next batch will not be this cheap. Lucky you!

I [Something] Hipsters

I thought this was quite funny. Poor hipsters, they never saw it coming. Thanks to Tim for posting this very witty t-shirt?

Dalek’s New Limited Print and then some…

Saturday, August 23rd, 2008

I woke up this morning to an email from Dalek announcing his newest print (which is now sold out.). Someday, and I really hope its someday soon, I hope to own some original artwork from Dalek. I really do love his space monkeys and in the mean time I’d appreciate any of his Space Monkey blind box figures, but it seems they’re sold out everywhere– you simply can’t snooze when it comes to these artists.

Anyway– Last night, I’d also spotted a collaboration between Dalek, Internal Affairs and Triumvir. Check after the jump for more info. (more…)

Current Mood:Distraught emoticon Distraught

Yay, the Mr. and I received our ProKeds Arcade Series sneakers last night. I took plenty of pictures and have posted them on my flickr if you’d like to take a look. I love my sneakers, though I was worried about the colors. I do have to say two things for the women:

1. The wrapping paper that contains the women’s sneakers stains. I noticed when I opened the box that my laces had this “dirt” on them. Then I realized the gold lettering of the wrapping paper had smudged on the sneakers, NOT COOL!

2. If I am ordering the “Arcade Series” sneakers then I believe its because I am highly interested in the design, right? So why do you send my sneakers in a pink, girly box; instead of the Arcade Series box sent to men? Hmm… I don’t like this one bit. I was really looking forward to storing my sneakers in their kick ass box, but nope. If this matters to you, then you should be aware of it. That is all.

p.s. I made a mistake earlier… those Mario Star looking ones are not Mario Stars. They fooled me, but looking at a close up of the sneakers the eyes have slits in them like Pac-Man, so where are they from? Oh the confusion, when the new styles come out I shall try to inform you. Oh, if someone finds kid sized arcade series sneakers, you should tell me. I still want the other designs for myself.

I’m going to get killed for this…

It’d been sitting in the office for weeks, but finally; the Mr. has purchased the PaRappa the Rapper hat Sairalyn made. He’s not going to like me spreading the the photo of him with the hat on, but it needs to be made public… I’m sorry.

the Mr. and his PaRappa hat

My co-worker/friend makes hats as a side source of income. I guess you could say that… a while ago a bought a bunny hat from her and the Mr. thought it’d be cool to have a PaRappa the Rapper hat made. Sairalyn did a great job, though the patch is slightly off (it has a white background instead of yellow). I love this hat, it makes me feel so cheerful. If you’d like to purchase a hat of hers of bring up a custom idea you can go to sairalyn.com. Her hats range in price, so check out the site. Tell me what you think.

I ♥ threadless

Tuesday, May 29th, 2007

If you don’t know me, here’s an important piece of information– I love threadless t-shirts. Not all of them, because lets face it; sometimes things simply shouldn’t be printed. Turns out that threadless is having a $10 sale from now until June 4th. That means a whole week of opportunities to buy their t-shirts.

If you’ve never heard about threadless, its a good t-shirt site. I’m talking about it in the perks they give to their submission winners. The thing with the site is that you can create your design, using 4 colors or less, and you submit your idea. If people love it and vote 5’s and “I’d buy it” they print it. If your shirt gets printed they pay you 2000 bucks, and give you a $300 gift certificate plus a $200 threadless club subscription. Basically the new t-shirts that come out for the select tees get sent to you. On the plus side, they keep things busy. They have theme opportunities so if you have an artist mental block, maybe if creating a t-shirt design for the film festival, or video game will help you out.

the Bioshock design, also available for $10 now
