Last Friday MyPlasticHeart, located in downtown New York, hosted their first show of the year: When Hell Freezes Over. The show featured 15 customized Cranston Fellows Jr., created by Lou Pimentel. We were personally excited for this show, because we’ve witnessed the journey of Cranston’s creation. We instantly fell in love CFjr, and really didn’t expect to fall in love with any of the customs since the original is so damn great.
Well, we were proven so wrong. I suppose since the 15 invited artists were already working with a great platform, they really just went above and beyond. In an effort to make you feel more present at the shows we attend with our videos– we not only caught up with Lou before the show– but caught up with kaNO during the show. It was pretty awesome and laid-back and you get to witness some of the craziness that goes on during an MPH show. Hit the jump to see pictures from the event, and my favorite customs!
Chauskoskis was my absolute favorite Cranston of the night. I don’t know how many times I hovered over it, I even made him the focus of my 365 Photo. I’m not sure if it was his expression, his blue tongue, or those long limbs that made him stick out from the rest of the submissions– whatever it was, it called my name all evening. If only I had a spare $600, he would be mine!
Doktor A is always a man after my own heart. I’m just amazed by all of the intricate work and detail. The Dok makes steam punk so damn irresistible!
64Colors is going through this swampy phase, and I’m loving it. I didn’t think I’d be into swamp creatures, but somehow 64Colors have achieved this. I especially love the horns! This is one of the customs that my Mr. and I both wanted to purchase stat, but sadly– even this affordable price for a custom is out of our reach these days. Blah!
This show really featured some of the best artists in the scene… all of the customs were amazing and it was a great way to start the New Year. If you’re interested in purchasing any of the peices, that haven’t been sold yet, you can head on over to the MyPlasticHeart website.

Great interview Saki! Now I want to paint a Cranston
Thanks Quan! I had so much fun that night. kaNO and Lou are crazy love-able fellows.
This video cracks me up! Such an awesome show, and looks like you guys had a great time! I’m loving the swampy 64 Colors theme too! Love that piece and the Marshalls. But I’m so shocked Grim wouldn’t want the HellCat?
