Neon Monster’s Mitch: ‘effin Awesome!

The benefits of being a night owl (or early bird as ChelC has suggested since I’m still awake at 6, 7 and sometimes 10am) is that you don’t miss important tweets that contain news of an upcoming release like Mitch from Neon Monster. <– That was a long sentence. Neon Moster, located in San Francisco is a really trendy shop that amalgamates designer toys, comics and records (the musical kind). During our visit the staff were very friendly and they had some great merchandise– they even had The Walking Dead available (favorite zombie comic), so they scored brownie points with me for that.

After our tour, we headed to back to ChelC and Shamu’s home, and two worlds collided. ChelC is a talented crafter, and well, Mitch made an appearance on one of her crafting blogs– and now I had a t-shirt that had that very same character! Mitch is a kick-ass cyclops and having him in plushform is just the transformation he needed (then again, I really would love to have life-sized Mitch in my home too). These Mitch plushes will be available tomorrow on the Neon Monster shop. I’m not sure how limited they’re going to be, but the the Grey version will retail for $39.95 while the Albino Pink will be $49.95– there’s also an option to get both for $75.

Kaiju Packaging FTW!

Honestly, I know the price is a bit steep– but they each stand at 14″ tall and are made with recyclable materials. I’m also finding it difficult to choose between the two. I mean, I thought I loved the OG version– but that pink one is really aesthetically pleasing and I don’t even like the color pink. If someone in NY gets it, will you please let me hug him? Danke!

First off, thank you for the kind words! I was so discombobulated from that experience!

Didn’t they both turn out so well? I can’t spend that kind of money on plushies right now, but they are both adorable! I love when things I love come together :)
