If you’re a tokidoki fan, I’m sure you’ve spotted the flyer above somewhere announcing the invasion of tokidoki in NY. Well, I’d gotten this flyer about 2 weeks ago, or so, and was under the impression that the shop would be opening this upcoming weekend. I was wrong, as so was most of the world actually, not our fault, just a bit of miscommunication. Although, this weekend, Simone Legno will indeed be on location for the Grand Opening celebration and signing, the shop’s been open since last week. To those who are familiar with the area, the tokidoki shop has actually taken over the LeSportsac shop that used to be there.
I meant to make the trip to the tokidoki shop this weekend, but thanks to all the fun I was having during the snowstorm, I went today instead. The shop, is just like I remember it, super small! I can only imagine the chaos this weekend is going to bring to the staff. =) If you keep reading, you can see a picture of the new print that is being sold exclusively at the shop, along with upcoming Tokidoki x Hello Kitty Plushies.
The image above is not only a new bag style, “Marina”, but also the latest print, Geometric Girl. Although it is quite pink, I find myself wanting to add this to my bag collection now. The bag above isn’t too shabby, but I’ve fallen in love with Geometric Girl in the Immagini bag style. The style is meant to be a laptop bag, and it’s perfect for my laptop. If you like “Marina” it’ll cost you $168, the “Immagini” costs $178.
To see larger images of the Hello Kitty xTokidoki plushies, just click on thumbnails above. In conversation with the lovely staff at the tokidoki shop– I was notified that the plushies are limited to about a run of 200 pieces each. I really wanted to pick the Moozarella Hello Kitty, who am I kidding, I wanted them all– but I also noticed the $98 price tag. blah! I hate not being rich. If you’re wealthier than I am, you can pick these up at the shop on Saturday, when you head on over to meet Simone. =) Luckily for me, I’ve met him a couple of times already, no standing on line for me. =P

Awww cool bag! thanks for sharing! shame about the current exchange rate
those plush are sweet but i’d rather get a long wallet for about the same price at sanrio.com… but they only ship in the US and ebay’s too much for me!

I’m so glad that that shop is on the other side of the US from me. I’d have so many problems if a Tokidoki store showed up near me

I’m so glad I’m already broke– or this is where all my cash would go– and then I’d be the homeless girl w/ loads of tokidoki stuff. >__<
