I’m not a very big fan of Joe Ledbetter. I love his characters, but it upsets me that I’ve seen no growth from the man– so the characters I once favored a year ago, are getting old pretty fast. Does that sound fucked up? I’m sorry if I offend JLed or fans of his art– but seeing his old stuff in comparison to today– the only noticeable difference to me are sharper lines.
I will, however, admit, that if the above is a print release– I kinda need it. I’ve got loads of Mexican pride– and this is a nice combination of two of my loves. [Source]
*Although I am frustrated with Joe Ledbetter, it doesn’t mean I don’t love/own some of his figures.

No. I know what you mean. Although I’m not familiar enough of Ledbetter’s work to speak about him specifically.

I love Joe Ledbetter’s work, but I haven’t been into him that long, so it’s still fairly fresh to me. I just love the graphic quality of it. I get what you mean about needing some development (I love Mr. Bunny and *love* Firecat, but would like to see some new stuff as well). I don’t want him to get rid of that graphic look, though, because that’s what I love about his work – especially when translated into toys! (I love my Finders Keepers!)

Oh, Mr. Bunny is definitely one of my favorites– and his finders keepers are too– I thought they translated very well, but my fear is: what’s next? What direction is his style moving to? If it stays the same, will fans be satisfied?
