SDCC: Uglydolls

I want to start this post by sharing an anecdote. In September I will begin my full-time job as a dean of students. I am still in undergraduate school and chose to take the job because I love working with youth. When June came along, I was questioning whether or not to get a summer job. I still technically wasn’t on the DOE budget, so I wasn’t going to get summer pay. Suddenly, I was presented with a stack of checks, which solidified my decision to not work for 2 months and be a bum until my very hectic schedule took over (full-time work, school and part-time blogging). I thought it was a great decision, until– SDCC came around.

Originally, I was supposed to attend SDCC this year. I have family in San Diego so I didn’t have to worry about room and board. But, 3 very important electronic equipments broke down and I canceled my trip. Now, as exclusives surface still on a daily basis, my heart is shredding into little pieces. The latest? This year’s exclusive Ice Bat. He’s only $20 and is limited to 400, I hope that enough are left for me to purchase when I start working again. Hit the jump to see the news David has just unleashed.

David has officially announced Uglydoll Action Figures! They’re going to be about 3″, I think and will come in the colors that their plushy filled counterparts did. They’re supposed to be released in 2009 (NYCC?), but there’s a possibility that they’ll be available during Uglycon NY. Woo hoo! I can’t wait for these.
