My TokyoPlastic Requests

We all know, from past posts with anything regarding TokyoPlastic [refer to these posts], that I love TokyoPlastic. All aspects of the duo make me happy; the people are awesome gents, their vinyl toys are simple yet amazing, and their flash videos seriously leave my eyes wanting more. Any time there are news or rumors of any TokyoPlastic figure, I suddenly find myself on their site all over again watching all of their works all over again. This time, I thought I’d take a different approach and show you the characters I want to be brought to life in 3D form so I can add them to my collection.

Let’s start with the fella above who’s part of Drum Machine’s opening sequence. He looks similar to baby koguma in body and shape, except this guy has headphones and should come equipped with drums. I acknowledge the fact that I’ll most likely never attain a black or red 4″ geisha, which came with a drum/speaker, therefore, I’m trying to get a set any way I can. Besides, when you see the little guy playing the drum, the expression on his face is filled with so much effort. Andy, Sam, please take note of this. Danke! Hit the jump to see more characters.

The image above is from TokyoPlastic’s Opera Dude flash video. TP has already graciously released their Opera Dude [hit the link to purchase your own], but I wanted to note that, I think the Opera Dude looks great with his eye/mouth closed. I like his teeth hanging out, and therefore, I kind of want him the way he’s pictured above. In addition to, I like the monks (?) with their drums. I love how apathetic they come off while they melodically play their drums. Besides, they would make a great addition to the geishas I currently have. I however, would only like to see these figures in the small 4″ size. Anything larger would lose it’s charm for me.

The above (and below) image is from TP’s Music Box video. I will start off with the top left guy. Also similar to baby koguma in body shape, this little guy has speakers as ears! He comes with his own set of floating drums. Well, they almost look a little more like the congas, but… that may just be my opinion. I like him plenty, and would love it if he had articulation in the hands so I could pose him playing his drums. Clearly, I’m putting a lot of thought on the pictures I could take with them.

Next is another Opera Dude, but as you can see he’s black and his teeth are more like canines that will apart your flesh. Umm, I’m a little violent sometimes. Anyway, we own the Opera Dude’s already and in my mind I’m doing a stop-motion animation fan video with them, so having them with their mouths/eyes closed would be very helpful.

Now, the DJ… who doesn’t want a DJ in their home? I really like him. You don’t even have to make two pieces if you don’t want to. I don’t mind him being in his little shell the entire time. I would however appreciate if they made him with articulation in his neck so that I could pose him whenever I’m taking shots with the rest of the crew.

The two fella’s at the end (one being the parent I believe, the other clearly the baby) look awesome with the bass as a head. I especially love the claws. I think it’s a wonderful addition to their character and would love 3 points of articulation– the hands and the head. I can see myself making a mess and then blaming it on them.

The guys above are pretty much more like the dopplegangers of the ones above them. The black ball you see in the middle is the DJ of the previous shot. Isn’t he awesome. The two bass heads make it more apparent that one is clearly the baby. I need them all to feel like my collection is complete. Well, maybe not… but I can dream, and I can request, and cross my fingers that maybe the duo that is tokyoplastic might just consider making them.

What about you? Are there any characters you’d like to see come to life in vinyl form? Make sure you check out their videos [links located throughout post] if you haven’t already done so. You’ll need a flash player, so get to downloading.

:?: I so want the guys with the sticks with the drums! We should start an online petition! I need more Tokyo Plastic for my collection.

 Agreed! This is officially becoming the start of something BIG! Soon we’ll take over the world. Wait, I mean…
