We’ve seen his works before, not on this site, but you’ve definitely encountered his works on other sites. My personal favorite being his Skullwing custom munny. I’ve been an admirer of Southerndrawl’s works since his Skullwing munny without realizing it. Very recently I encountered one of his works in person and knew I recognized the style, but didn’t realize it’s origins. Well, today he posted his latest creation: Ankylabittosaurus. That’s a mouthful. When I asked him about his process or inspiration he responded:

I’m working through customizing the things i like. I’m in a dinosaur-phase now. I thought it was time to make a shift from the armored works I had been doing (the various teddy troops and skullwing for instance) and move to things that are harder to paint, skin and scales.

Well Mr. Southerndrawl, great job. For some odd reason it all seems to work, even if he does have a cigarette in his mouth.

If you want to keep up with his latest works, you can subscribe to his blog: Southerndrawl’s blog
