I am not the biggest fan of Kaiju figures. Although, I have fallen in love with the tokidoki kaiju vinyl, I’m not into the color schemes of most of the kaiju figures I’ve seen. When I say I’m not a fan of these figures, I do not intend to imply that I hate them or will never be interested in them. I just don’t think I’ll ever get into them the same way I do with other vinyl/collectibles in my life.Today, I got wind of the newest David Horvath release, or soon to be [better stated], and it has definitely gotten my attention. Do you know what it is? Hit the jump for more….
The thumbnail located on the side is the preview of David Horvath’s addition to the Kaiju world. It is Ice-Bat, an already beloved creature in our heart’s. I found a couple more images over at David’s blog [just in case you didn't know he had one, click this link to visit it]. Check them out:

If you visit David Horvath’s blog, it is quite apparent that he loves Kaiju figurines. When the sneak peaks were unveiled, he admitted that both he and Sun-Min were highly influenced by these figures when they were younger, he says:
Sun-Min and I can finally pay our
proper respects to the many TOKUSATSU
we’ve been inspired by since early childhood.
We hope you enjoy!
I am quite excited actually. I unfortunately didn’t join the urban vinyl community until early last year and I missed my opportunity to get my hands on the uglydoll vinyls that David released. This will put me in the game somehow.
Either way, my Spider Baby Boom’s need some company from someone closer to their “family”. Ice-Bat is set to be released as early as February. Woo hoo!! The excitement of it all. I look forward to the whole line being released.
