DC Comics New Era Hats

Batman

Ridler Catwoman Superman

A while ago I wrote about the Marvel New Era fitted hats. I was a little iffy about the design, unfortunately it was too gaudy for me. Well, New Era has now announced their newest collaboration with DC Comics and I must say- I like them a lot. They are much more simple for me, but I’m not liking the color schemes they chose. Blegh. Either way, I may be picking up the Superman fitted because of the color pallet, though I like Batman more. Well, maybe the Batman fitted too, the colors are growing on me. I thought I’d post a little video. I am a fan of these sneakers, though I only own two pairs right now. They are definitely comfortable and I love playing volleyball in them. Also, some tokidoki fans should love them because soon they will be releasing their tokidoki series. I got to see the sneaker boots when the Sneaker Pimps show was in town. They looked awesome, but I’m not a sneaker boot type of person so I’ll wait for their regular low-tops to come out.

I definitely recommend taking a look, you’ll be blown away by some of the customs that people presented. I have my list of favorites, but I’m curious to see which ones are yours. I didn’t have time to title them by artists, so I apologize. If you want the name of the creator, feel free to email me so I can provide you with such information. Enjoy.

Vinyl Crossover

 Ninjatown

I’ve been holding off on this post for a while, there is no specified reason to why I held off for so long- especially since so many sites have already discussed the two people, but I’m writing it now. There are two artists in the vinyl world who are making a crossover, it’s not to canvas [or felt for that matter], but their crossover is taking them into the video game world. You may already know who the two fellas are, but if you don’t, they are: Mr. Rolito, creator of Rolitoland; and Shawn, creator of Shawnimals. I am a big fan of both their works and style, and I have a special appreciation for Ninjatown [Shawnimals' debut title] since I got to talk to the creator himself when he was around for his Keep it Ninja! show over at My Plastic Heart.

I don’t know too many details about Ninjatown, not yet at least. But this weekend, I played the Japanese version of Patapon, the title to Mr. Rolito’s game. My verdict? I love it. It’s a rhythm game!! I think most of the world is already aware that I love rhythm games. I am having a BIG language barrier issue, but so far I can tell you that you are supposed to complete battle missions, populate your people, and collect things to help you continue to populate. I’m not sure if there are modes, seeing as how I’m playing the game [which at the moment seems easy] so there is a possibility I’m on easy instead of normal or hard?

Rolitoland

At the moment, I’ve learned that the beat “pata-pata-pata-pon” makes my warriors walk forward. The beat “pon-pon-pata-pon” makes them attack or knock-down whatever is in front of them. The art is true to Rolito and it’s quite obvious from the trailer alone. I can’t wait for the game to drop in the states so I can understand what it is I am doing.

Ninjatown is set for a fall 2008 calendar, which Patapon will drop February 28th, if I recall correctly. Is anyone else going to get it?

Terminator: SCC

I have officially watched the three episodes that have been aired in the US of The Sarah Connor Chronicles. Last week, if some of you happened to stop by, I wrote my thoughts about Bionic Woman [sort of]. Well, thanks to the many technological advances in our society I was able to watch The Sarah Connor Chronicles all in one evening. My verdict…

Munny: Beaded Edition

Uh, it’s Wednesday. You know what that means right? Uh, munny time. So today’s munny was a myspace find. Actually I was on flickr and followed it to myspace. Check it out, and then I shall share my thoughts/opinions.

 Beaded Munny

[Image taken from artist page. Colors enhanced by me.]

This munny isn’t necessarily themed, other than I believe a possible ‘go green’ campaign. My reason for choosing this munny, the almost unbelievable job of covering the entire munny in tiny beads!! Not just is it a task to cover the entire canvas with beads, but to also manage to make a design [aka mosaic] is even more amazing. Great job Angelica! Please follow the link to contact Angelica. I’m not sure if she does commissions, but there’s no harm in trying- no?

Kaiju Ice-Bat

I am not the biggest fan of Kaiju figures. Although, I have fallen in love with the tokidoki kaiju vinyl, I’m not into the color schemes of most of the kaiju figures I’ve seen. When I say I’m not a fan of these figures, I do not intend to imply that I hate them or will never be interested in them. I just don’t think I’ll ever get into them the same way I do with other vinyl/collectibles in my life.Today, I got wind of the newest David Horvath release, or soon to be [better stated], and it has definitely gotten my attention. Do you know what it is? Hit the jump for more….

This is a short post. My moods are working AGAIN!! Yay. Oh snaps, now to fix my smileys. Does anyone have recommendations for smileys? They must be small, but cute. I don’t like oversized emoticons. Yay, the excitement.

p.s. Is anyone going to Tristan Eaton’s Dunny release at Kid Robot tomorrow. I shall be there, hit me up if you spot me. :-)
