Current Mood:Sick emoticon Sick

Last summer, while I was getting my constant fix for trash TV from both MTV and VH1; Alltel wireless kept flashing commercials of some world series event. To be quite honest it was getting me completely annoyed. I didn’t want anymore Alltel to be pushed on me; but then I watched. I became intrigued, and then I became a World Series of Pop Culture addict. Its a pop culture trivia game (brought to you my alltel) on VH1 hosted by Pat Kiernan (also known as the NY1 guy). He so rocks, and he makes an awesome game host. Anyways, the second Pop Culture series is starting July 9th at 9pm, watch it and enjoy. Or DVR it and enjoy later. I can’t wait!

these “bookends” rock!

Friday, June 29th, 2007

Lately I’ve been on Swissmiss’ blog, this woman is apparently a furniture designer and she runs a blog about neat things other designers are putting out there. So, while I was on her site my eyes almost popped out of their sockets when I spotted these bookends. I wish I had a place of my own already, I would set up my library section and totally break out these bookends to level up on my geekness. HAHA! These bookends cost $89 for the pair. Yay!

You can purchase them over at Unica Home

p.s. If you’re like to visit Swissmiss’ blog you can check it here: Swissmiss

Thursday, June 28th, 2007

I’m such a geek, because I really want this Save Key piggy bank. I kind of sort of need to make money first to get this piggy bank, but as soon as I gets me some… its on my list of things I must own. Check it out and if you want one for yourself click the image to go to the product page.

p.s. Woo Hoo… the weekend’s officially here. Weekends start on Fridays in my world. haha!

Destructoid Final Fantasy Competition

Thursday, June 28th, 2007

So, while on Destructoid today; I read that they’re having a Final Fantasy Contest. If you guys didn’t already know this, then I guess I brought you good new news, if you are a frequent visitor than screw you. I kid ^_^ But I should say this, if you like to write and you’re a fan of Final Fantasy you should definitely write the short story and enter to win the t-shirt along with the PSP version of the game. I would totally write a short story if I knew enough about Final Fantasy to write about it. Here are the downsides to not being fully active in the video game world… then again I don’t own a PSP so why would I want the game? I really just want the shirt. :-)

So I’m looking around for cool household items and such… the Mr. told me I could make a list of all the things I would need to cook in his home; since I’ve never cooked him a meal (not for not wanting, but the man doesn’t have a decent pan in the house!). So on my hunt, I found these wall decals. I thought these were totally kick ass. See the image to the right, the yellow and “raspberry” colored ones along with other assorted colors come in a pack of 8 for $45. The giant gray colored invader is not part of the deal, which really sucks. If you think these rock and have room on your walls, you should check ‘em out over at Blik.

Oh yeah… sexy letter opener?

Oh yeah, you read it completely right. I was over at Nerd Approved (the Mr. introduced me to this site about 2 weeks ago), as I was going through their posts I came across one of the sexiest letter openers I’ve seen, ever! I mean this literally too… I have a thing for office supplies and well, this is at the top of my list. So this pretty little thing costs $24.95 and can be located at Fantasy Gifts

Message in a Bowl

Wednesday, June 27th, 2007

So the Mr. (Grim Santo) sent these bowls my way. I am a huge fan of bowls and cups with a message, I think it’s because I like to read while I eat. But these are definitely filled with words of self-appraise. If I need a pep talk, I don’t need to turn to anyone because these bowls will remind me of how awesome I really am!! Oh yeah. Anyway, these bowls can also be found at wrapables and they’re running for $15 each.

Sereni-tea…

Monday, June 25th, 2007

These are some super swanky tea cups, well I’m sure you can drink other liquids, but honestly; why would you? I love the “creativi-tea” and the “sereni-tea” cups, but any would do just fine in my home. I think I just find them witty. I simply love things with wordplays on them. Anyway, second best part, is the packaging. I know I am such a whore for kick-ass packaging and these tea cups are delivered in tea bags. ^_^

You can purchase these over at Wrapables.com for $12 a pop, plus shipping. Honestly that price is not too shabby.
